St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School Mackay welcomes New Principal

St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School, Rural View has this year rolled out the welcome mat for their new Principal, Karla Falzon.

Having worked for the past 20 years in both Education Queensland and Catholic Education, Mrs Falzon has held a wide range of roles across both Primary and Secondary. Throughout all these roles and experiences, she believes that her passion for inclusive, holistic, student-centred learning has been at the forefront of her educating of and working with young people.

Mrs Falzon said the St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School community had been very welcoming and she had very much enjoyed her first weeks in the leadership role.

“There is a strong sense of school pride evident at St Brendan’s, from everyone - the students, staff, parents and families who make up the whole school community,” Mrs Falzon said.

“There is a clear commitment demonstrated from the community to work in partnership with each other to achieve great outcomes for students. It’s a really vibrant, positive, faith filled school.”

“I look forward to working with all members of the St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School community to make this year a memorable and successful one for our students.” Mrs Falzon said.
