Sponsored Practicum Placements

Gain real world teaching experience while you study!

Eligibility:

• Currently studying a pre-service teaching course with successful completion of at least 50% of the course (i.e. half way through the course).
• Successful completion of previous Prac placements.
• Be open to learning more about rural and remote education.

Please note applicants may be required to participate in a professional experience engagement conversation with a representative from Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton to discuss their placement. 

Inclusions:

• Travel allowance: equal to one return economy airfare or reimbursement of fuel and meals in transit. 
• Accommodation in an established teacher's residence. This may involve sharing with teachers. 
• Locations include Emerald, Clermont, Springsure, Longreach, Blackall, Barcaldine, Monto and Biloela.
• Placements can be arranged in other locations within the diocese including Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Mackay with applicants sourcing their own accommodation.
• $200 per week living away from home allowance.
