Students to the fare at Beef Australia 2021
Beef Australia 2021 (2 to 8 May) was once again an amazingly successful event that for a week put Rockhampton firmly in the national spotlight. It was great to see Rockhampton and surrounds buzzing with activity as the city welcomed thousands of visitors to BEEF 2021. Leaders and stakeholders from every sector of the beef industry were present for the event with Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk also paying a visit. Congratulations to members of our school communities and their families who through their participation contributed to helping make BEEF 2021 once again an outstanding event that so well showcased the Beef Industry and its importance to our nation’s prosperity.
Special commendation to students from The Cathedral College who had the honour in centre ring of leading the Parade of Champions at BEEF 2021. The Cathedral College Show Team led out the Champions for each breed before a capacity crowd of Beef producers and industry leaders with the Parade being beamed across Australia.
The St Paul’s Catholic Primary School Gracemere Judging Team competed in their very first event at BEEF 2021 after only commencing training last Term. Teams from Years 5 and 6 competed in the Team Judging Event and 21 students competed in the Individual event.
The students from The Cathedral College and St Paul’s Gracemere looked resplendent in their blazers and were outstanding representatives for Catholic Education at BEEF 2021.

Year 9 student from The Cathedral College, Rockhampton, Cody Mortimer, leads the champion Brahman bull in the Grand Parade of Champions at Beef Australia 2021. Cody also placed first in the Junior Judging 12-14 Years.
